MENAWCA’s 6th biennial conference at the Lebanese American University in 2019

Founded in November 2007, the Middle East-North Africa Writing Centers Alliance (MENAWCA) affirms its purpose to foster communication among writing centers and to provide a forum for concerns for writing centers in the region. Membership of the MENAWCA will include directors and staff of writing centers at universities, four-and-two-year colleges, and elementary and secondary schools in the region, as well as those persons interested in writing center theories and applications.

MENAWCA’s biennial conferences are a platform for teachers, tutors, peer tutors, center directors, and other professionals supporting student writers in the MENA region, to share and explore theoretical and practical perspectives related to the conference theme. Participants also come from beyond the region to share their work and perspectives and to learn more about regional writing center practices.
